Only the crème de la crème de la creams of my 2022 reads!

🔪Bath Hause by P.J. Vernon | Doubleday
- An intense, layered thriller, it creatively explores the idea of digging yourself a hole after one bad decision and what it means to be in a relationship where honesty is definitely not the policy.
🔪Razorblade Tears by S.A. Crosby | Flatiron Books
- Gritty, action-packed, brutally honest and devastating in more ways than one, with a bit of humour but no cheese, plus I love revenge.
🔪Cackle by Rachel Harrison | Berkley
- The characterization in this novel is vivid, the pace is breezy and the message is empowering but presented with an edge. There isn’t a lot of conflict or tense/twisty moments, because honestly, it’s a supernatural cozy novel about growth, acceptance and inner strength, but my dark, bitchy heart really liked it.
🔪In My Dreams I Hold A Knife by Ashley Winstead | Sourcebooks Landmark
- This is a juicy, fun thriller. Okay yes, it’s full of tropes and clichés and even a fucking love triangle, but it was written with so much self-awareness that it was a whole vibe and had me completely wrapped up in the twisted drama.
🔪The Violence by Delilah S. Dawson | Del Rey
- This was compelling and messed up and stressed me the fuck out. It gave me everything I could have wanted from a virus horror story exploring themes of abuse and women’s empowerment and changing your fucking life. It’s violent but it has so much heart.
🔪Yes, Daddy by Jonathan Parks-Ramage | Harper
- This is a frustrating and shocking read that explores powerful themes and I really, really liked it. It’s super readable and intense.
