Book Nook Sunday: 02.03.2019

Happy Sunday, lovers and bitches!!

It’s the end of the weekend (boo), but before another work week begins again I like to take advantage of Sundays by being as lazy as humanly possible.

Need a shower? Better take it Saturday night.

Husband wants a kiss? He better deal with my morning breath without complaint, because this girl hasn’t brushed her teeth yet.

A change of clothes? I don’t know what those words mean!

Bras do not exist to me on Sundays!

The only things that do exist are books. Sunday is my favourite day for getting some reading done. I basically dedicated the whole day to lying in bed and blizting some chapters. And I myself might also get a little blitzed, if you catch my drift that smells suspiciously of weed.

Anyway, the only reason I’m looking forward to Monday at all is because repairs are FINALLY getting started on my basement. Yes, I know, you’re saying to yourself, “Krystin, didn’t you post about your water damaged basement back in November?” YES, I DID. And thank you for remembering.

It has literally taken this long for the contractors to start fixing my shit.

They’re scheduled to work between the 4th and 11th of this month. And then, maybe after that I’ll actually be able to post a Book Nook Sunday that is dedicated to my own basement book nook like I’ve wanted to ever since we started remodelling back in October.

But until then, have these gorgeous book nook inspirations that have been created and decorated by people with far more money than I.

Book Nook... Oh goodness, I want it. Great idea for the landing with a chair in a different color. :)
Hello, winter. With your howling winds and nose-diving temperatures, you give us the perfect excuse to stay inside where it's warm and curl up with a great book. Check out these divine book nooks for inspiration (prepare to pin!) and then go carve out a corner of your home or apartment where you can relax and read.
Frame a cozy bay window nook with dark rustic wood, like CLOTH & KIND does here, to add a rustic touch to modern, neutral-toned interiors.

Catch us nestled in this cozy nook this weekend.

What are you lazy Sunday plans? Do you have a day you specifically dedicate to reading? Let me know in the comments and we’ll chat!

Until next time, Booknerds…

  1. YAY FOR FINALLY GETTING SHIT FIXED! Glad the contractors are getting off their ass and saving the nook! As for the pictures–I need to win the lottery so I can have all of these in my house. Like yes please and fucking thank you.

  2. YAY!!!! I’m so happy you’re finally going to have your book nook soon!

I really love the types of bookshelves that are built into the wall! It’s such a personalised touch AND a space saver!

Also loving the new look of your blog! I never used to like floral designs when I was younger but now I love them and currently have my eye on a certain quilt cover that is gorgeous and has many flowers…

    1. Thank you!! I get more into floral things as I get older too, it’s kind of weird, right? I used to associate them with “old” but I think they’re making a comeback. But mostly I just really love the juxtaposition between my blog being about murder and dark things, but being all flowery and pink LOL.
